Today I’ve got something a bit different for you today!

I’m sharing a call for pitches for personal essays to be published here, at From the Desk of Amy Suto: Make Writing Your Job, and shared with all 6,400+ fellow subscribers here along with a link to your website, portfolio, or Substack.

Pitch call details: I’m commissioning a 500-word personal essay from a writer, and the rate is $500.

  • The topic is this: what was a moment when you had a “writing breakthrough” in your career? This could be a particular project, a creative burst of inspiration, or something else. I’m looking for stories that plant the reader in a scene or moment, and give visceral descriptions as well as a bird’s-eye-view reflection.

The goal of this new guest article series is to add new voices to the conversation about how to make writing your job and spotlight more members of the community and what you’re working on.
