Hi Amy, congratulations on quitting caffeine and taking care of yourself. I just recently quit caffeine, it’s been about 3 weeks since I’ve had and I’ve noticed less anxiety throughout the day but I am struggling with feeling tired more. But my caffeine addiction was causing more stress and more overeating (I’m an emotional/stress eater) so I had to quit! I’m looking forward to see how the rest of this month goes. Thank you for sharing your experience 🤗

Thanks for sharing your experience as well, Tanisha! It's been awesome to hear from so many readers lately who have also recently quit caffeine and found that it's improved their life in some way. I found that some light stretching in the morning along with some homemade lemon + ginger tea helps with energy!

Love this! Y'all saw Logan working through his quitting process in Costa Rica... thrilled to say that his energy doesn't dramatically crash at 7PM anymore, even if he does miss his mochas.

Yes! Logan is an inspiration. I've heard from so many people who quit caffeine, and since Kyle is caffeine-free and one of the most productive people I know, it convinced me to make the swap. It's crazy how questioning routines + what we do every day can lead to life just being better!

I went over to decaf a while ago. There are some good options but it's important if you want a "proper" decaf that it's process through the Swiss water method. Otherwise there can still be quite a high decaf content. I agree with all the effect you highlight about. The exacerbation of stress was the one thing I really noticed going. And if you go cold turkey you can expect pretty intense withdrawn symptoms. I felt I was in Trainspotting for the first 24 hours.

I fear I need to make this change too. 😭 I think I'll take you up on the month-long challenge.

If you do it would love to hear how you feel at the end of the 30 days!

I’ve already quit alcohol and sugar, Amy. WHAT WILL I HAVE LEFT?! (My own body’s natural energy reserves? Possibly.)

I hear you. I had Bells Palsy last year - mostly stress induced - and coffee became the one thing I could no longer stomach during my illness. Amazing how much you rely on it until you can’t.

I’ve been caffeine free now for 12 months and saying goodbye to it also uncovered an intolerance to gluten. Healthy living the caffeine free way - who woulda thought it 😭

Stress is such a sneaky thing -- I hear you on being reliant on caffeine until you just can't have it anymore! I definitely think gluten in the US is made of much different stuff then gluten in other parts of the world (especially Europe!) I have to be gluten-free in the US but not elsewhere.

I’m in Australia and it’s the same thing here - people say Europe is okay for gluten, just not here. Intriguing - you would think gluten is gluten no matter which country you’re in.

I fear I may need to make this change too. 😭
